MA Communication Design

I take inspiration from pop culture, history and ideas of identity. I am especially attracted to characters and situations that have a whiff of magic and glamour about them. My work can be playful and celebratory. I am especially drawn to projects that enable me to research specific events or people that have been overlooked or marginalised. I love story telling and costume and I like to create art work that is both provocative and accessible.

I have worked with drag and burlesque performers, dancers and fellow artists to produce pieces that allow me to keep exploring the world as a huge cabaret of curiosities.

Past work includes collaborations with Black Gold Arts, Stoke Pottery Museum and Art Gallery, Sunderland Council, Bury Art Gallery, Cornerhouse, The Lowry, and commissions for Whitworth Art Gallery, HOME and Northern Art Carbooty
