Mrs Brown's Diary

This project was inspired by my eight month long collaboration with Stoke Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, for the Making Faces exhibit running between March and September 2011.

The character of Mrs Brown, a young bored flighty housewife from Hanley in 1951, was inspired by the area's history and objects I chose from the museum's decorative arts collection to create an authentic vintage dressing room. Each item tells a different part of Mrs Brown's story and you can read her diary on the blog Mrs Brown's Diary
