I like to celebrate artifice and showmanship with humour and sensuality. My subjects range from everyday women to the most flamboyant of burlesque characters, and in every instance I hope to capture a sense of their individual glamour and beauty.
I constantly continue to investigate this allure with motivation coming from vintage pin up styles and films to contemporary culture, art and fashion.
My work includes painting, illustration, perfomance, collaboration, installation and the written word. I like to tailor my themes to different audiences and situations. Having worked with galleries and museums to drag queens and burlesque performers I have created a variety of visually stimulating art work.
I also run art workshops and am in possession of an enhanced CRB, registered as self employed and have public liability insurance.
